Safed Musli (Chlorophytum borivilianum) is an eminent medicinal plant of India and considered a ‘white gold’ or ‘Divya aushad’ in Indian systems of medicine. In Ayurveda, Chlorophytum borivilianum belongs to the group of “Vajikaran Rasayana” corroborated to its rejuvenating, aphrodisiac, natural sex tonic properties, and effectiveness in alleviating sexual disorders. It is largely used as ethnic medicine by local healers of indigenous communities of India.
Uses:- Tubers having medicinal value are used as a general tonic, containing the steroid sapogenins (1-2%), protein (10-20%), and calcium.
Tubers are fat-free and have high aphrodisiac properties.
It is also useful in diseases like renal calculus, leucorrhoea, and diabetes

Plant contains Sapogenine (0.1%), a high percentage of starch, carbohydrate, sugar, and minerals like magnesium, potassium, and tannin.
