Cynthilium cinereum (Sahadar) is a species of perennial plant in the sunflower family. Cynthilium cinereum, is eaten as leaf vegetables. The Sahadar is commonly known as "figatil" or "necroton" and is used in local traditional medicine. Its decoction is also given for diarrhea, stomachache, cough, and stomachache, and also plants have anti-cancer properties. Uses:- The juice of the plant is given to children with urinary incontinence. The leaves are eaten as a potherb. A decoction of it is also given for diarrhea, stomachache, and cough, and colic.

Chemical Constituents of Sahdevi (V. cinerea Less.) Many pharmacological active chemical constituents have been isolated from V. cinerea. The leaves of V. cinerea showed 64 flavonoids, 13 saponins, 36 alkaloids, and 108 terpenoids present in them (Alara et al., 2018). Different pharmacological actions can be attributed to these active constituents.
