Elemental composition of the sample of Banslochan determined by X-ray fluorescence shows the presence of SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, TiO2, K2O, P2O5, Si / Al. (10) It is mainly composed of Silicic acid (Sio2) up to 96.9%, traces of iron, alum, alkalis, and 1% organic matter. Banslochan from Bambusa arundinaceae contain: Silica 90.5 %, potash 1.1 %, alumina 0.4% and iron peroxide 0.9%. Cavendish determined the specific gravity of Banslochan to be 2.169 at 11.4 0 c. Indian Banslochan is composed of 97% of silicic acid, 2.9 % water with traces of potash and Lime.
