Cinnamomum Verum, also known as Ceylon cinnamon, is a shrubby evergreen tree of the laurel family. Cinnamon bark is a common ingredient in the spice mixture used in India. Cinnamon is known to increase salty and improve digestion, as recommended by Indian Ayurveda. It also acts as a local antiseptic based on its antibacterial action.
Cinnamomum zeylanicum is known to increase salivation and to improve digestive functions. It also acts as a local antiseptic by virtue of its antibacterial action.
