This can also be used to reduce sexually transmitted diseases. The tuber of this is used to kill helminths in our body without causing any damage to the body. The extract is used to kill lice.

Colchicines. Cornigerine, 3-demethyl-N-formyl-N-deacetyl--lumicolchicine, 3-demethyl--lumicolchicine, 3-demethyl colchicines have been isolated from plant. -sitosterol, its glucoside, a long chain fatty acid, -lumiccolchicines.
